I went to the zoo and I saw a...

PYGMY HIPPO!

Did you know that they eat grasses, water plants and fruit?
Or that they live in the tropical forest of West Africa and weigh up to 610 pounds.
I saw a pygmy hippo at the zoo today.

Hippos eat what?

Hippos are normaly herbivores but occasionly a dead animal will be eaten. Hippos prefer to eat grass and sometimes other plants. They will also eat aquatic plants.

Hippos habitat!

There are two Hippo species in Africa, the pygmy hippo and the large hippo. The pygmy hippo lives in West  Africa. The large hippo lives in East Africa.

all hippos live near water!!
